Office Sex Series - Andy and Meredith

It was a typical crazy night at Poor Richards. The air was dense with the scent of stale beer and cigarettes. Andy came in and grabbed a stool at the bar. It had been another long day at Dunder Mifflin and he wanted to just relax. He ordered three fingers of scotch and proceeded to consume it in one gulp after the bartender placed it on the bar. The alcohol burned as it went down his throat and his head exploded with a giddy rush of heat.

“wooo!” Andy said loudly as he felt the blast behind his eyeballs. He slammed the glass onto the bar.

“Would you like another?” The bartender asked, wondering what kinda of moron wastes good liquor like that.

“Yes sir my man!” Andy said, “I have acquired quite a thirst after my daily toils. I shall require another dose of your medication.”

The bartender rolled his eyes and went to get the drink order. Andy sat with his hands clasped and feet lightly kicking against the bar. He scanned the area. It was a typical neighborhood bar. There was a pool table in the corner. Several patrons looked like they spent a fair deal of their time in the place. Loud laughter and the clink of glassware could be heard.

Andy wished he had a drinking partner. It was always a little desperate to drink alone. He had invited Jim, but that had been pointless. Ever since Jim had hooked up with the receptionist they had been in their own world. Andy felt like vomiting every time he saw them making goo eyes at each other.

The bartender returned with his drink and Andy tried to nurse it a little slower. His head swam a little and he felt the alcoholic buzz start to kick in. He took another swig of his scotch.
Andy looked up to see the baseball game playing on the television located over the bar. A fat, sweaty guy on the barstool next to him was watching the game closely. It was a college game between Oregon State Beavers and Arizona State Sun Devils.

“You want to see a real game you got to catch Cornell Rams!” Andy said loudly and tapped the guy on the shoulder. The man turned around and looked at him suspiciously.

“Who the hell is that and who the hell are you?” The man slurred. He looked big and angry.

Andy smiled brightly and said nothing. The man turned back and looked at the television. Andy looked forward, a little disappointed that he could not stir up a drinking buddy. He heard a familiar female voice.

“Hey Johnny, give me a vodka, straight up.” Said Meredith who appeared by Andy’s side.

“Sure thing Meri.” The bartender smiled widely and drew up her drink. The grumpy gentleman who had glared at Andy heard her name and turned to look towards her. He replaced the scowl with a big snaggletooth grin.

“Meri! I missed you baby!” The man called out to her. She looked at him and smirked.

“Oh Jerry, I was here last night. So were you.” She laughed and slapped him on the back. Andy saw that Meredith had changed out of her slouchy work clothes and was wearing a pair of jeans and a soft green silk shirt. Her hair was brushed to a soft auburn sheen.

“Hello there Meredith.” Andy exclaimed happy to see someone he knew. Meredith gave him a puzzling look. Her morning vodka and orange juices at Dunder Mifflin had been making her workdays a little vague. She had not had much time around Andy that she could recall. Meredith looked closely and the recognition came to her.

“Oh Hi Andy…right!” She said happily surprised, “I see you found Poor Richards!”

“Yes, today it was kinda crazy in sales. I needed multiple liquid libations,” Andy said politely, “What brings you to this fine establishment?”

Oh, I meet some friends here.” She said, “Are you here alone?”

“I haven’t yet had the time to make many companions to enjoy the evening’s merriment with.” He said loudly over the music.

“Well Andy, ya know me.” She exclaimed loudly and tugged him lightly on the arm, “Come on over and I will introduce you to the gang.”

Andy, pleased to be included, grabbed his drink and followed her to a long wooden table. There were six other people seated around the table. They all greeted Meredith with cheerfulness at her arrival. Meredith introduced Andy and he sat down feeling immediately welcomed.

“So how do you know our Meri?” A man, who was introduced as Ben, asked Andy.

“Oh, we both work at Dunder Mifflin.” Andy answered. Several of the people around the table glanced at Meredith slyly and smiled. Meredith oblivious to the gestures smirked and took a long swig of her drink.

They both sat in the group of partiers for hours. They laughed and drank. They played drinking games that, of course, led to more drinking. Throughout the evening several people came over and said hello to Meredith. They conversed with her intimately about their lives. Andy was easily able to insert himself into the conversations. When the jukebox was shut down due to neighborhood noise codes, Meredith and he had started the group singing acapella versions of “Freebird” and old Willie Nelson songs.

Andy felt like he had been friends with these people forever. The mix of multiple doses of scotch and camaraderie was intoxicating. Andy felt welcome, happy and very drunk at the end of the night.

Last call came and the crowd started to disperse. They slapped Andy on the back in farewell. He waved at them and promised that he would visit again. Andy wondered for a second how he was going to drive home. He didn’t have know if Scranton had a taxi service and knew that he didn’t even have enough cash to pay.

“Andy,” Meredith slurred, “You can’t drive like this.” Andy’s head swam as he gazed at her. Her red hair was still silky and the top buttons of her silk green blouse had come undone. He noticed that she had really nice green eyes.

“Are you Irish Meri?” He drawled out slowly, using the bar patrons’ nickname for her.
“No, why?” She looked confused.

“You have Irish eyes. Like green meadows.” He said teasingly. He tried to stand, but fell back in the chair. Meredith laughed riotously and slapped her leg. She pushed him and he almost fell off the chair.

“Andy, you can’t drive your car like this.” She repeated the statement.

“Yesssh!” Andy slurred back, “I know and I don’t have my air mattress with me. It’s a roomy twin.”

Two Lackawanna County Deputies came strolling into the bar. They saw Meredith and came over to her table. Andy panicked for a second and wondered why they were coming towards them.

“Meredith,” Andy said in a loud whisper and pulled at Meredith’s shirt sleeve in alarm, “Meredith the cops are here! Hide…I don’t know. Meredith why are the cops here?”

“Don’t worry Andy,” Meredith said sluggishly, “This is my ride home.” She smiled brightly at the two deputies and they gave her a weary grin.

“Hi Eddie. Hi Carlton.” She said brightly

“Come on Meri,” said the tall blond and mustached deputy, “Let’s get you home safely.”

“These are my buddies.” Meredith said to Andy. “They keep the street safe at night.”

“Yes we do.” The other deputy, a short black man, answered and then yelled over to the bartender, “We’re gonna get Meri home safely. Are you going to be okay locking up Johnny?”

The bartender shook his head and started wiping down the bar surface.
“Andy how you gonna get home?” Meredith slurred.

“Meri, we can only take you home.” The blond deputy said, “We’re actually supposed to check out a domestic dispute after you get home.”

“I have an air mattress and it’s a roomy twin.” Andy said again. He grinned stupidly up at Meredith. She gripped his arm and pulled him up.

“Come on sport, you can crash on my couch.” She groaned at his weight. The black cop laughed lightly and went to help Meredith hoist Andy up. Andy stated singing “He’s not heavy he’s my brother” loudly as they pushed him towards the entrance.

The deputies led Andy and Meredith to their squad car. Andy slammed his head on the top of the door as he attempted to get in. He slouched against the metal cage bars that divided the front seat and the back seat.

“Meredith, why are we being arrested?” Andy slurred.

“Don’t be silly,” Meredith replied, “They are giving us a ride home.”

“You know Meredith,” Andy replied unsteadily, let his head fall back and looked at her, “I have an air mattress and it’s a twoomy rim.”

Meredith cackled loudly and the deputies climbed in and started the car. Andy sat back and looked out the barred window. The night was shadowed in moonlight. He started singing “I shot the Sheriff” and the deputies in the front chuckled softly.

They drove for a few minutes and pulled up in front of a small brick house. The lights inside were off. The blond deputy got out of the car and opened the back door. Meredith and Andy slid out. The deputy asked Meredith for her house keys. He aimed the couple to the entrance and unlocked Meredith’s front door.

“Where is your son tonight Meri?” He asked.

“He’s at his dad’s for the weekend.” She replied, “No one at home. Cat ran away. Can’t find the damn hamster.”

“Of course,” He replied and looked over at Andy. “Well, at least you won’t be lonely tonight.” He gave a little laugh and ushered them in. He turned on a floor lamp. After they were in safely, the deputy tossed Meredith’s keys on a side table, locked the door knob and closed the door behind him.

Andy held onto the side of a chair and looked around the room. It was papered with blue pin striped and flowered wallpaper. The floors were covered in large white ceramic tiles. There was a small brown leather couch and recliner on one side of the room. The home entertainment center was white painted wood with a 24 inch television set and an X-box. The walls were decorated with wicker baskets. The windows didn’t have curtains, just wide white vertical blinds. The only light was provided by a silver standing dome light.

Meredith said she was going to make some coffee and headed out of the room. Andy slouched into the recliner and looked at Meredith’s small couch. The furniture item was half his size. He stood swaying and went to find a bathroom. He opened the door to one room in the hall and flicked on a switched. The room was painted black and the walls were adorned with concert and soccer posters. There was a skateboard in the floor. The small twin bed had so many clothes piled on it that you couldn’t see the mattress. Andy felt a little dizzy and he used the door frame to brace himself. This was obviously her son’s room.

He stumbled down the hall and wound up in a room that was painted a light green. There was a double bed that was not made. It had sheets of different colors. There was a white bureau and nightstand. On the floor were 3 or 4 items of clothing that had been thrown down. The alarm clock blinked on and off as if the power had gone off recently. Andy surmised that this was Meredith’s bedroom.

“Andy?” A voice called from another room. Andy turned and followed the voice. He entered the kitchen and saw Meredith scooping out coffee grinds. The kitchen was a pretty shade of buttercup yellow. The cabinets were white shellac and the kitchen appliances were an odd color of avocado green.

“Andy you want some coffee?” Meredith asked, turning on the coffee maker.

“Yes, I think I could use some.” Andy responded, “You have a fine home here.”

“Thanks, it’s the one thing, other than my child, that the son-of-a-bitch gave me that was worth anything.”

Andy raised his eyebrows a bit and grinned. “Must have not ended so well.”

“Oh, typical story.” Meredith said and she sat at the small dining table, “Man gets married, man gets job, man gets secretary, man leaves wife for secretary.”

“Oh, how unfortunate. She must have been a slut?” Andy slurred, attempting to get on Meredith’s good side.

“He, he was a slut.” Meredith said wryly, “My husband decided he was gay much too late in life.”

Andy didn’t have an answer for that. Meredith looked at him and laughed, “I always get the same reaction to that story.”

Andy laughed too. Meredith had a nice laugh and she actually looked kind of pretty when she smiled. Her cheeks were flushed from either booze or laughter. She stood up and grabbed two green ceramic mugs. She filled them with coffee and sat back down at the table. Andy joined her and gazed at her over the table. Her fiery hair was slightly in her eyes. He had always loved redheads. He wondered if she was a real redhead.

They sat and drank their coffee and laughed about the people at Dunder Mifflin. Meredith filled him in on some of the tales of office hijinx that occurred before he transferred in from Stamford. Andy was not surprised to hear about Jim’s pranks on Dwight. He was however a little disturbed to find that these pranks resembled ones that had been played on him in Stamford.
They moved the party to the living room and Meredith put on some music. Disco music came to life on the radio. Andy stood, bent over and held his hand out to Meredith.

“Shall I have this dance fair lady?” Andy said and almost fell over in his attempt to stand straight. Meredith smiled, stood and joined him. They danced around the living room and held each other up.

The music changed to a slower tempo and Andy drew her close in a slow dance. Meredith enjoyed the closeness of having a man hold her. She closed her eyes and relaxed. Andy smelled strangely like peppermint.

“Meri?” Andy asked his voice slurring slightly. “I think your couch is too small for me.”

“Oh,” Meredith said hesitantly, “It looks so much bigger during the day.”

“Meri?” Andy requested, “Can I kiss you?”

“Oh, I don’t know.” Meredith said lightly and leaned in, “I mean we work together and we’re so drunk.” Meredith slipped and almost fell. Andy picked her up. He leaned in and kissed her neck.

Meredith grabbed his head and kissed him hard. In spite of the large amount of liquor he had drunk, Andy felt himself get an erection. Meredith felt it too and kissed him harder. They stumbled their way into the bedroom.

Andy and Meredith fell on the bed and they struggled to get their clothes off. Andy marveled at Meredith’s agility as she stripped and slipped off his pants in one move. He noticed that she had very soft skin. It had little freckles dusted upon it.

They rolled around clumsily in the sheets. Andy lay prone and Meredith climbed on top. He felt himself enter her and he groaned and flailed out his arm knocking over the table lamp. The room went dark and they both laughed. They swayed with the light and pace of the blinking alarm clock, back and forth. Andy’s head swam and he gripped her hips and thrust in hungrily. Meredith moaned loudly and he feared for a second that the neighbors might think someone was killing her in here. He had a mental picture of Ed and Carlton the deputies rushing in with guns drawn.

Meredith let out a final scream and climaxed. Andy losing his composure felt his own climax start and he began his loud moaning as a continuation of hers. He came and gripped her tight.
Meredith and he laughed out loud. She disengaged and rolled off Andy. He placed his arm under her head and she snuggled in. The sex and alcohol was starting to take its toll and they grew drowsy.

“Oh, Meri,” Andy said exhausted, “I don’t know if I can go again. I am so tired.”

Meredith was silent and Andy leaned over to check on her. She let out a small snore. Andy gave a little laugh and closed his eyes. His soft snores soon joined Meredith’s. Even in sleep, Andy stayed in harmony.
